Artifacts Display Cabinet

NOTE: Nov 2023 – Cabinet permanently relocated to Woods Center, 108 Fairway Drive

In November 2012, the Civil War Study Group, Inc., presented to the Lake of the Woods Association (LOWA) a cabinet, custom-built, to display artifacts that were either found inside Lake of the Woods or on the Wilderness Battlefield. More than 100 artifacts can be seen in the cabinet, which is in the LOW Clubhouse, just at the entrance to both the Grille Room and Members’ Lounge. Artifacts for the display are either loaned temporarily by owners or donated to CWSGI to become the property of the Association.

With the picture of the cabinet is a picture of CWSGI President Pete Rainey (left) making the formal presentation of ownership of the cabinet and artifacts to LOWA in 2012. Accepting was Bob Shope, LOWA presiden
