ORANGE GROVE
Orange Grove is the plantation owned by Captain John Spotswood, grandson of Colonial Virginia Lieutenant Governor Alexander Spotswood. After serving in the Continental Army in the American Revolution, Captain Spotswood built his mansion on this site in the 1790s.

SIXTH CORPS HOSPITAL
Federal 6th Corps Field Hospital interpretive panel marks the location on the Spotswood family’s farm where a hospital of 24 tents was set up at the start of the Battle of the Wilderness.
