On May 5, 2014: The Civil War Study Group held a ceremony to remember those from both North and South who were killed or missing in action on the Orange County portion of the Wilderness battlefield 150 years ago. A new monument was dedicated at the entrance to the Wilderness Battlefield Park at the corner of the Lake of the Woods Church parking lot.  This is the venue for this remembrance going forward!   In prior years, this ceremony was a wreath laying at the battlefield monument on Saunders Field near the intersection of Constitution Highway (the old Orange Turnpike) and Hill-Ewell Road.
